Protecting the Community

Tomkiel & Tomkiel are well known for protecting the rights of the injured, but we also protect the rights of the entire community by proactively promoting safety, health, and education.

When negligent individuals and corporations are held accountable, safety becomes a priority and a corporate policy. It should not be profitable to risk the lives and well-being of workers and the public. Unfortunately, some do gamble with the safety of others. When that happens, we are here to help those injured obtain full and fair compensation.

Tomkiel & Tomkiel is also proactive in reducing injuries by promoting health, exercise and safety awareness through programs such as our “Help a Student Explore Grant” and the “Eddie Eyyad Almargi Pedestrian Awareness Scholarship,” described below.
A healthy and educated community is safer and stronger.

The “Eddie” Eyyad Almargi Pedestrian Awareness Scholarship

Eddie Almargi of Yonkers, NY, who was tragically killed when struck by a speeding car while he was crossing a roadway. Eddie was an upstanding person, hardworking, loving and close to his family and his friends. He emigrated from Jordan at age 18, became fluent in English, finished High School, worked hard at several jobs, obtained a real estate license and became a U.S. citizen just a few months before he was killed. He was in school to study construction engineering so he could become a real estate developer. He was struck down at age 24. His family was devastated. One way that we can increase safety on the streets is by informing people of precautionary measures drivers must keep in mind, and alert pedestrians about dangers when crossing a road. In honor of “Eddie” Eyyad Almargi, Tomkiel & Tomkiel is proud to offer The “Eddie” Eyyad Almargi Pedestrian Awareness Scholarship. Learn more here.
