S. Robert Princiotto

S. Robert Princiotto received his Juris Doctor degree from Western New England College, School of Law in 1978. He was admitted to the New Jersey Bar and U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey in 1978. After admission to the Bar he was employed as defense counsel for Allstate Insurance Company. In 1981, he joined Marcus & Levy focusing primarily on Plaintiff’s personal injury cases and commercial litigation.

Biography

Mr. Princiotto was certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney in 1985 and has been re-certified on a continuing basis. In 1988 he was admitted to the New York Bar. He has been appointed as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association. In addition to civil litigation, he has represented property owners before Zoning Boards and/or Planning Boards of various communities and is the attorney for a local Zoning Board.

In 2002 he received a verdict of $40.6 million in the case of Baskin v. The Nurse connection, Inc. This verdict was one of the Top 100 Verdicts in the United States during 2002 (National Law Journal February 2003 edition). He was a guest speaker at the Academy of Trial Lawyers, Pennsylvania in 2003 regarding the trial and jury verdict.

He is active in his community having been a councilman for six years, a member of the Planning Board and member of the Zoning Board of Adjustment. He is a member of UNICO and is a past president of the Elmwood Park Lions Club. He has coached as a volunteer for his community recreational sports teams.
