What constitutes a personal injury case?

When we say a personal injury case in New York, what we’re really talking about is a bodily injury. We’re not talking about personal feelings or personal insults. We’re talking about damage to the body. Of course we can also have damage to the brain or the mind, but basically we’re talking about damage to the person, not so much personal feelings. That’s what a personal injury is, like a broken bone or a herniated disk, a brain injury, torn ligament in the knee or the shoulder. Personal in the sense of bodily injury.
